"Cattails" was produced in a small hotel room in Vernon, Texas. Originally painted as a commissioned piece, I was told to paint the cattails "in my style". I opted to paint them based on the cattails that grew up near my childhood home. I would see dozens of them growing by the sides of my road on my everyday walks.
